As many of you may, or may not know, I am NOT one of those people who reads the Harry Potter’s, The Hunger Games’, or the Percy Jackson books and then attends the screening of them for comparison. I am more of a watch the film and not worry about the book kind of guy. I tend to enjoy film adaptations of other media. I really liked the first film of The Hunger Games trilogy, I Am Legend is one of my favorite films, and the end of Marley & Me tear-jerked the s*** out of me. (Yes, I said tear-jerked.) And my feelings toward the film Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief were no different. As a lover of Greek mythology, I enjoy watching just about anything that touches on the topic of gods and goddesses. (Yes, I used to love watching the shows Hercules and Xena.) So it’s no mystery as to why a film about the offspring of Olympians going on adventures to save the world thrills me. Was the first installment of the Percy Jackson franchise a knockout? No. But, it was entertaining enough for me to enjoy it and become curious about the next one. And this ladies and gentleman is exactly why you are reading this now. After viewing the trailer for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters I believe this will be better than the first installment. But, I will let you be the judge of that. Watch the trailer below and as usual, comment and let me know what you think.
