Moviegoers can put another point on the board of Buddy Cop films. Although, Let’s Be Cops technically doesn’t qualify considering the premise that the main characters aren’t actual cops. Yep, that ‘s right! The first cop comedy where the cops are just average guys who get into an onslaught of hilarious ordeals and risky situations as they parade as police officers. Move over Cop Out (2010), go back to school 21 Jump Street (2012), and watch your back Ride Along (2014) because Let’s Be Cops looks as though it may even be giving Broken Lizzard’s Super Troopers (2001) a run for its money in the funny department. Damon Wayan’s Junior and Jake Johnson seem awkwardly natural as two “30 as sh*t!” roommates who decide to dress as cops for a “costume party” and end up liking their created roles a little more than they probably should. Let’s Be Cops arrives in theaters everywhere on August 13th, 2014. Check out the trailer below!

Well folks the creative genius (I use the term genius VERY loosely) behind Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus has teamed up with Cinefix to bring you an online three episode giant monster-comedy series that rockets the cheese factor to level Sharknado. Fear Force Five is a thing that only a really bored and probably not-so-sober mind could dream up. But, with its purposefully campy story-line, adolescent special effects and mediocre acting it’s pretty hard not to enjoy the numerous laughs and snickers Fear Force Five can force out of you. Stuffed with all the monster-comedy fixings to make a made for television SyFy film envy; Fear Force Five is something of an ode to all of the classic, yet not-so-well groomed horror movies of the past and I am borderline ashamed to write that I enjoyed it. But, when you expect a movie to be over-the-top, quirky and not really take itself seriously you ride that massive monster movie wave until you’re clear of the pipeline and laid up in the shade of the aftermath. With that said, if you enjoy laughing at “bootleg” horror-comedies you will highly enjoy this one. Click the video below and follow the playlist to watch the entire series and behind-the-scenes processes of the series. Check it out and let me know what you think of Fear Force Five.

The teaser trailer for one of the most anticipated sequels of 2014 has finally surfaced and when I say they just keep raising the bar on the ensemble of kick-ass actors with each entry, even that is an understatement. The Expendables 3 features the action-packed cast of Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Kelsey Grammer, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, and Glen Powell. With so many action superstars and athletes alike, The Expendables 3 is shaping up to be the best one yet. I can’t wait to see this in theaters on August 15, 2014.

In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. In order to defeat Stonebanks, Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet. (Lionsgate Live)

Marlon Wayans is back in the follow-up to his hilarious comedy horror spoof A Haunted House. While I usually don’t like sequels that do the same plot over again, considering how funny the first one was I am excited to see this. If there is anything I’ve learned from the first one it is that there will be a cameo or two in this film and it will be hilariously over-the-top. A Haunted House 2 stars Marlon Wayans, Cedric The Entertainer,  and the fluffy man himself Gabriel Iglesias and is scheduled to release March 28th, 2014.

So for the first time in my trailer posting history, I am left with few words about a movie. This, is a great thing because I actually want this trailer to speak for itself. But, I will say that I WILL definitely be going to the theater to see this film. I’ve always loved college movies (reminds me of the good ol’ dorm days) and this one shall be no different. Nostalgia! Anyway, check out this trailer and tell me it doesn’t make you explode into laughter by the end of it.

For all lovers of Zombie films, there’s a new zombedy (Zombie + Comedy) that was released last month called Dead Before Dawn that puts a rather original spin on the zombie film phenomena.

A group of college students unleash a plague of zombie demons in a small town, and fight for their lives while racing to stop the infernal curse over the course of 24 blood-soaked hours.  Fandango.com

For a movie filled with “C” rated actors and actresses, I’d say this actually looks worth watching. It even looks better than  Detention of the Dead (The Breakfast Club meets Dawn of the Dead). Considering the limited theatrical release date was September 6th and I know it didn’t do big numbers, my hope is that it will be in the redbox or on netflix soon. But, we’ll see. Take a look at the trailer below and let me know what you think.

It’s looking like 2014 will be a great year for Kevin Hart (About Last Night). Ice Cube joins him in the new comedy Ride Along for lots of laughs and some action as well. Anything Kevin Hart touches turns to comedic gold these days and it doesn’t seem like his Midas Touch will be leaving anytime soon. I will be going to the theater to see this film. Check out the preview below and let me know if you will too.

Just when we thought Sylvester Stallone had officially retired to The Expendables island, a trailer for the new film Escape Plan emerges from the webiverse. Starring in this futuristic prison break film is his Expendables buddy Arnold Schwarzenegger. This leads me to ask the question, “Will these old guys ever slow down?” Based on the rumor of Arnold’s appearance in the next Terminator film, I think not. But, with that said, their old age doesn’t seem to be showing as they are kicking ass through a series of challenging events and people in this bromantic beefed up version of Lockout. One must also note the silver screen appearance of rapper turned mogul Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (The last and to my recollection only silver screen film he has been in was his loosely fact-based biopic Get Rich or Die Trying). I wonder how large a role he’ll have in this film. My guess is very small and for good reason. Every film he’s been in since GRODT has gone straight to DVD. I call this the 50 Cent curse. So, will the curse effect Escape Plan? I guess we’ll have to wait until October 18th to find out.

“The U.S. [President] (Charlie Sheen) recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer (Mel Gibson) who looks to launch a weapon into space.” [IMDB]

As if Danny Trejo wasn’t enough to guarantee a good time, Robert Rodriguez has pulled all the stops and collected an ensemble cast for his Machete sequel, Machete Kills. While keeping beautiful and highly talented originals  Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez, Machete Kills features sexy newcomers Sofía Vergara, Amber Heard, and Alexa Vega to name a few. But Rodriguez didn’t stop there with the great cameos and screen stealing thespians. Recruiting seasoned actors like Mel Gibson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Antonio Banderas and Carlos Esteves (Charlie Sheen), this fast-paced sequel is sure to have as many explosions and bullets blazing as there is talent on the silver screen. I also know Robert Rodriguez’ cinematic style so I know to expect over-the-top action scenes, funny and sometimes cheesy dialogue, beautiful women kicking ass and Danny Trejo being a natural bad ass. Can you tell I’m excited about this movie? Like Insidious Chapter 2, Machete Kills releases on September 13th, 2013. The weekend of Friday the 13th is shaping up to be a great one for films this year. Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think of the Machete sequel.

“The continuing on-set adventures of San Diego’s top rated newsman.” [IMDB]

If you couldn’t get enough of Will Ferrell and his gang of news anchor misfits in the first Anchorman, you’ll be delighted to know the gang is back. And apparently bringing an onslaught of talented actors and actresses with them. Some of the slated cameos are: Will Smith, Nicole Kidman, Liam Neeson, Drake, Maegan Good, James Marsden, Vince Vaughn and Harrison Ford to name a few. It’s going to be a star-studded event and everyone is invited just in time for Christmas. Anchorman 2: The legend Continues is slated for release on December 20th, 2013 and one thing we can be certain of, there will be plenty of laughs and “…Scotch, Scotchy Scotchy Scotch!” Check out the official movie trailer below and let me know if you’ll be going to the theater for Anchorman 2.
