Well folks the creative genius (I use the term genius VERY loosely) behind Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus has teamed up with Cinefix to bring you an online three episode giant monster-comedy series that rockets the cheese factor to level Sharknado. Fear Force Five is a thing that only a really bored and probably not-so-sober mind could dream up. But, with its purposefully campy story-line, adolescent special effects and mediocre acting it’s pretty hard not to enjoy the numerous laughs and snickers Fear Force Five can force out of you. Stuffed with all the monster-comedy fixings to make a made for television SyFy film envy; Fear Force Five is something of an ode to all of the classic, yet not-so-well groomed horror movies of the past and I am borderline ashamed to write that I enjoyed it. But, when you expect a movie to be over-the-top, quirky and not really take itself seriously you ride that massive monster movie wave until you’re clear of the pipeline and laid up in the shade of the aftermath. With that said, if you enjoy laughing at “bootleg” horror-comedies you will highly enjoy this one. Click the video below and follow the playlist to watch the entire series and behind-the-scenes processes of the series. Check it out and let me know what you think of Fear Force Five.

Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, working to create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions.  His highly controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the prime target of anti-technology extremists who will do whatever it takes to stop him.

However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become the catalyst for him to succeed—to be a participant in his own transcendence.  For his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can…but if they should.

Their worst fears are realized as Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown.  The only thing that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him. [Source]

Lovers of the Jurassic Park franchise, fear not, the latest information on the newest installment in the series has arrived. I’m excited to see where they take the franchise and even more excited about the dinosaurs they’ll use in this installment. I generally like Jurassic Park for the story and the “When Animals Attack” style melee that the carnivorous dinosaurs unleash on each suspecting and unsuspecting human they encounter. I have always loved Jurassic Park, for like Deep Blue Sea, it is a great morality tale: Don’t mess with nature. Although Universal Studios seems to be keeping much info on the fourth Jurassic Park under wraps, here’s what we do know thus far (rumors and facts) and also check out that cool movie poster below!

So it seems Europa Report won’t be the only space film on the silver screen this year. But, while Europa Report will take us on a thrill ride to another moon, Gravity seems like it will keep us trapped in space…literally. While I am interested in finding out how this story will end, I am uncertain if Gravity will be like the 2010 Ryan Reynold’s film Buried and keep us tethered to a single setting for the majority of the movie. Should this happen and the main characters end up dying in the end anyway I would be very disappointed. My guess is, the studio spent a great portion of their budget on pulling Sandra Bullock and George Clooney for the film to attract an audience. I think if this film were shot with lesser known actors the storyline would not hold strong enough to fill seats at the theaters. Let’s just hope the on-screen chemistry and dialogue between the two does well enough to keep this film entertaining or audiences might just drift away from the film faster than Sandra drifted from that space shuttle. Watch the trailer below to see what I mean and be sure to post a comment below to share your opinion. Do you think this will be a box office hit or does it have the makings of a blockbuster dud?

Although I have never read the Orson Scott Card short story or novel Ender’s Game, after seeing the preview for the film I am definitely curious. I have always been into Sci-Fi, Action movies and with an Academy Award nominated ensemble cast, I don’t really see how this movie could disappoint. If there’s one type of film plot I enjoy its those of the alien ass-kicking in space category. From the point of view of a person who hasn’t read the book, I actually feel like I have the upper-hand. I won’t have to complain about how a certain part of the film is drastically different from the book or be anxious to see a particular scene from the book play out in the film. All I know is, after viewing this movie trailer, I am definitely curious to see what November films will contend with this. But, don’t just take my word for it. Go ahead and check out the trailer below and as always let me know what you think of Ender’s Game by posting in the comment section.
